Romantica Orchestra

The Romantica Orchestra began in July 2006. The Orchestra obtained the patronage of the Mayor of the Białołęka District in January 2008. The Romantica Orchestra is realizing the vision of its originator, founder and director – Anna Barańska-Wróblewska. The Impresariat Artystyczny “Proscenium” represents the Orchestra.

The Orchestra brings listeners through the cultural heritage of music. The main purpose of the Orchestra is multi-directional, open and artistic activity meant to disseminate musical culture, in the country and abroad. The Orchestra realizes an ambitious and varied musical program, which goes through romantic music, opera, operetta, musical and film music. It also runs educational music activities with children and teenagers.

The Romantica Orchestra of the Białołęka District plays at symphonic, cameral, promenade, drawing-room concerts, carnivals, and traditional balls. It also participates in festivals accompanying soloist performers. The varied repertoire of the Orchestra and the Kwartet Romantica (Romantica Quartet) includes compositions from the baroque epoch, classicism, romanticism, modern compositions and popular standards of band and jazz music. The vast repertoire of the Orchestra together with the high level of their artistic presentation ensures that music lovers are always satisfied by their performances. The size of the Orchestra is adjusted to meet the needs of the event and the repertoire in question. The Orchestra also adjusts its appearance to fit the character and occasion of their performance.
