Educational Investments

Because of the many young families living in our district, it is necessary to build new education sites. A new complex, consisting of a secondary school and kindergarten, was built on Ostródzka street, located in the eastern part of Białołęka.
The first day care center in Białołęka was opened in October 2009. It provides facilities for more than 100 children.

Cultural Investments

There are two modern technology centers in Białołęka. The first is Nautilus – a multimedia library for children and teenagers. Nautilus provides young people with books, multimedia materials and art classes.
The second center is the Multicentrum, which provides young people with an opportunity to learn about twelve different fields of science, culture and art. The center focuses on interactive educational techniques, especially teaching through play.

Playing Ground

Three new playgrounds were built in April of 2008. The first one is situated on Brzezińska Street, in a single-family housing part of the district. Located on Kiersnowskiego Street, the second playground also has a space for the entire family to spend free time, including a jogging path for adults. Opposite to the playground is a public place for family picnics and grills. The third playground is located in the housing estate of Nowodwory. Białołęka owns and administers another 5 playgrounds.

Białołęka has three public parks within the district boundaries. The oldest one, Henrykowski Park, is situated near the Henryków housing estate. The Park was recently modernized and reopened in June of 2009. Soon a modern playground will be set up. If you are looking for a place to spend time with your family, enjoy your lunch or play basketball/volleyball – try this park. You can also bring your dog!
The second park, Picasso, was established in 1988. It is a beautiful open space, just along the Vistula's flood bank. It is a wonderful place for sports or relaxing. With its large expanses of grass it is an ideal place for family picnics. Picasso Park features walking paths and trees, which blossom at different times of the year. In springtime, the fruit-trees delight visitors with brilliant colors. Close to the Park one can find courts for volleyball, basketball and tennis. In September 2009, a modern, full-sized football field was opened.

Sports Investments

The Syrenka Sport Field was opened in September 2009. The field has an extremely attractive location – situated in Picassa Park, near a school and the Community Center of Białołęka. Open for general use and catering to young people, it is a modern, full-sized football field with lighting.
Orlik, our other field, was made thanks to the "Moje boisko - Orlik 2012" program. It is a fenced multifunctional object, providing artificial turf fields for volleyball and football. There is also a sanitary background, changing room and car park.
Białołęka has one of the biggest skate parks in Poland. It is equipped with modern devices for BMX, skateboards and skates like fun boxes and grind boxes. Visitors to the skate park are not charged.
